An individual is always a part of constraint by couple relation, but on the same time, the self is a whole. On handling marital distress, both the intrapsychic of an individual and relational experience of the couple should be addressed.
This program is aimed at facilitating the helping professionals to acquire better knowledge and skill on handling marital distress

Mr. Koo has been working in Caritas Family Service for over 30 years. From frontline worker to Senior Social Work Supervisor, he has extensive clinical experience in marital issues, sex-related issues and childhood trauma. He is also a Certified Sex Therapist providing sex therapy for nearly 20 years. He is currently a part-time Clinical Supervisor rendering clinical support and professional training to the family social workers in Caritas Family Service.
Mr. Koo has rich experience on providing training workshop to different NGOs both in Hong Kong and Macau. He has been invited to render training workshops on Marital Counseling, Childhood Trauma, Emotional Work, Sex Counseling in Marriage and Compulsive Sexual Behavior. He is also an active sex therapy trainer assisting the program for training certified sex therapists in Hong Kong.
Mr. Koo is also a columnist in ETNet. The focus of his weekly articles is on sex and intimacy with the aim of enhancing public concern on the issue of sex, love and marriage. He was the author of the book ‘性不只是兩腿間的事’ for sharing of his practice experience in counseling.
