Clinical supervision group for dealing with cases suffering from Adverse Childhood Experiences

Clinical supervision group for dealing with cases suffering from Adverse Childhood Experiences

Introduction︰

You must have developed a secure enough relationship with your client if your client disclose their early or recent suffering from ACE. However, most workers started to be terrified or uncertain what they can do for their client. Some doubted whether they should keep listening to the traumatic stories of the client, with the fear of re-traumatizing clients. Others stopped themselves from going further with clients because they are not sure of the next step or whether they are able to contain their clients.

If you are one of those, you may be in need of support to develop trauma perspectives and sensibility, and companions alongside to contain you and your cases for the next step(s). A clinical supervision group can be something you can consider.
